Getting Started

Welcome, validators! JPool delegates pool stake to Solana validators through the Smart Delegation Strategy, an automated system that scores validators on performance and reliability and redistributes stake every few epochs. This guide explains how the program works and how to join.

INFO

You can quickly check whether your validator meets the requirements using the Analytics feature of the Smart Validator Toolkit (SVT).

How delegation works

JPool does not delegate manually. Instead, the Smart Delegation Strategy evaluates every eligible validator against published criteria, ranks them, and distributes stake across several buckets (decentralization, performance, direct stake matching, and community good). Stake is rebalanced on a fixed cycle, so your allocation reflects your most recent performance.

Join the program

Getting a delegation slot takes three steps:

  1. Meet the baseline requirements. Non-JPool stake below 750K SOL, commission at or below 10%, a published identity, and no blacklist flags.
  2. Fund a bond. A single bond (minimum 1 SOL) covers both security and performance. Bond health and your posted amount influence your target APY and slot ranking.
  3. Compete for a slot. Slots are allocated by category: Community Good, Direct Stake, or Performance, based on your strengths.
